This Christmas, and throughout the year, we have a remarkable opportunity to continue making a lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals who are enduring poverty, suffering, persecution, and hopelessness. Our gift to the nations catalog serves as a testament to the ongoing opportunities the Lord has granted us with, and we invite you to be part of these transformative ministry initiatives.

Just as in the previous year, we anticipate witnessing countless lives transformed through the work of New Harvest Missions International (NHMI) in Muslim West Africa by means of our Christmas catalog. Your support can truly make a difference in the lives of those we serve, bringing light where there is darkness and hope where there is despair.

Your generosity will undoubtedly have a profound and eternal impact during this Christmas season and beyond. Thank you for partnering with New Harvest Missions International and being a vital part of our mission to bring hope, love, and change to those in need.

CHRISTIAN SCHOOL PROJECT

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION

Alliance Academy construction project in the Southeast region of Togo.

This construction project aims to make school education accessible to vulnerable and underprivileged children in rural communities. The region, often overlooked and neglected, is grappling with profound challenges. Chronic unemployment, subsistence farming, and limited access to quality education have left many children, particularly girls from impoverished communities, without hope for a brighter future. Local public educational options are scarce, and overcrowded classrooms make it difficult for children to receive the education they need and deserve. Even if they manage to enroll in school, the risks of not completing their elementary education is high, perpetuating the cycle of illiteracy and poverty in the region. New Harvest Missions International believes that every child, regardless of their background, deserves the opportunity to receive a quality education. To address this pressing issue, we aim to build an elementary school that will provide a nurturing and supportive learning environment. We would like you to join us in this noble endeavor. Your support, whether big or small, will help us provide these under-served children with an opportunity for a better life with a bright future.

MOBILE MEDICAL CLINIC

FREE MEDICAL CARE

Providing a mobile medical clinic in Southeast Presbytery.

NHMI organizes a short-term medical clinic in impoverished villages with the help of medical teams of nurses, doctors, and other health care professionals from the U.S. Gifts to this fund will help provide free medical care and helps families that lack access to life-saving treatment to church members suffering and dying from treatable diseases or have never been taught basic hygiene. One medical clinic may serve 1,000 to 1,200 people while empowering and equipping churches to reach their communities with the gospel of grace.

CHURCH PLANTING

DISCIPLESHIP AND EVANGELISTIC OUTREACH

Southeast Presbytery church planting Initiative project.

Planting new churches in South East region of Togo is one of the primary means of expanding the kingdom in Voodoo’s predominant region and strongholds. Gifts to this fund will help coordinate, encourage, and provide resources for church planting, evangelism, discipleship, and church development/revitalization efforts of the southeast presbytery and churches.

Total Funds Need for this project: $10,000

HEALTH DISPENSARY PROJECT

AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE

Construct a quality and affordable health dispensary in Southeast Togo.

Access to medical care is a privilege and not a necessity because of its remoteness, the lousy situation of roads, the distance from the nearest health center, the lack of financial means for treatment, and poor health education. There are currently no health facilities in these villages, and the population of these communities must walk up to 15 miles to the nearest hospital, which is 25 miles away, for essential health services. These factors make pregnant women, delivering women, infant mortality, and death at birth rates very high in these targeted communities. This project will construct a quality and affordable health dispensary with well-equipped and continuous health education to reduce the death rate and save as many lives as possible in these remote areas so local people can access essential healthcare services. This project will directly benefit at least 5000 households from more than 12 villages of poor backgrounds by providing adequate health services and treatment for poor patients with no help, including children immunization, well-baby care, prenatal services, maternity services, pap smear testing, laboratory testing, deadly wounds, meningitis, diarrhea, malaria, water-borne diseases, anemia, tetanus, sexually transmitted diseases, malnutrition and many others in the region.

Total Funds Need for this project: $25,000 (phase 1)

RURAL AGRICULTURE

AGRICULTURAL EMPOWERMENT PROJECT

The Southeast Presbytery of Togo is home to many small farmers making a subsistence living, sometimes barely enduring until the next rainy season. Gifts to this fund will primarily allow us to work with rural churches and their communities in the Southeast Presbytery to help church members learn valuable methods for farming, resource management, and family living according to Biblical principles. NHMI is working with the rural communities to help set up development committees locally to improve the livelihood of their communities and help church members become models for implementing agricultural activities. These New agrarian techniques, such as compost-making, crops, and farming, will improve the socio-economic condition, increase production, change consumption habits, lower debt, improve health, provide financial resources to churches and church members, and provide income for the Presbytery.

Total Funds Need for this project: $12,000.

WATER WELLS PROJECT

PROVIDING CLEAN DRINKING WATER

  • Issue of Safety: Without a nearby safe water source, women and children make multiple trips daily, walking countless miles and spending hundreds of hours fetching their drinking water from dangerous polluted water sources.
  • Issue of Education: Children, often young girls, are kept from school to collect the dirty and contaminated water that frequently induce water-borne illnesses, causing students to fall behind from missing classes.
  • Issue of Poverty: Ultimately, when the children do not attend school, they are not prepared to work outside of the home. Unable to earn an income, they remain in a cycle of poverty.

This project will provide safe, clean water for four villages to thousands of families in the Southeast Presbytery congregations in Togo. Having clean, safe water for drinking, cooking, and washing will reduce the spread of waterborne illnesses so church members and their communities can go to school and work to provide for their families. Gifts to this fund will not only provide water that is safe for drinking, cooking and washing, but also promote health and improve the economic status of the villagers in the Presbytery.

Total Funds Need for this project: $56,000 ($14,000 per well)

NEW SEMINARY CAMPUS FURNISHING

PROVIDING AN ENVIRONMENT FOR LEARNING AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Our new seminary campus project in West Africa has been completed, and it’s a significant milestone in our mission to empower and develop church leaders and pastors in this region. The new campus is an embodiment of hope, growth, and transformation. It boasts an administration building with multiple offices, classrooms, a multi-purpose hall, guest houses with 18 bedrooms, a library, a computer room, reception spaces, conference rooms, an Executive meeting room, and a chapel, all of which will serve as the foundation for training and nurturing future church leaders. This campus is equipped to house and educate over 200 students and guests, making it a beacon of knowledge and spiritual development. However, there is one essential element missing – the furnishings. To fully activate this campus and make it operational, we need to furnish each unit. This includes desks, chairs, computers, AC units, double-decker beds and mattresses, books, audiovisual equipment, office furniture, and more. It’s not just about the furniture; it’s about providing an environment that inspires learning, partnership, collaboration, and spiritual growth. Your contribution will have a huge impact on countless individuals who will be touched by the education and spiritual formation offered here. This campus will serve as a launchpad for future pastors and leaders who will go on to impact their communities.  Your support will be crucial in ensuring that this campus can begin its mission and change lives for generations to come.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

AND SPIRITUAL FORMATION

Equipping church leaders to strengthen and mature their churches.

The heart of NHMI is to equip and empower national leaders who will drive the growth of the Church and spread the gospel to the unreached people groups, especially in areas where voodoo and Islam, hold sway. Our leadership seminars are the cornerstone of this vision. The Church in Togo and West Africa is rapidly growing, and the need for well-prepared leaders has never been more urgent. NHMI’s seminars serve as a breeding ground for nurturing individual leaders who assume critical roles in shepherding their congregations, planting new churches, and serving as ruling elders. Our seminars provide participants with the biblical knowledge and leadership skills they need to be effective leaders. We believe in the transformative power of biblical teachings and leadership principles, and your support enables us to deliver these vital tools to them. Perhaps most importantly, these seminars allow us to send national missionaries to unreached people groups, particularly in areas dominated by voodoo practices. Your financial support is crucial in making these seminars possible. It ensures that we can continue to train and empower local leaders who will have a lasting impact on the Church in Togo and West Africa.

LAPTOP PROJECT

PROVIDING ACCESS TO MODERN TECHNOLOGY

Providing laptops with French keyboards for New Harvest Missions International office workers.

NHMI is built on the dedication of our office workers and those in the field who work tirelessly to bring change in the lives of many others. We recognize the need for improved resources to ensure their work is as efficient and effective as possible. That’s why we have initiated this project to provide four laptops with French keyboards to replace the current old ones for our dedicated team members. These laptops, will serve a dual purpose. First and foremost, they will empower our office workers, who manage our projects, communicate with our partners, and keep our records up-to-date. Having access to modern technology is essential for their productivity and effectiveness. In addition, these laptops will also benefit our fieldworkers, who often work in remote locations and require digital tools to document their work, communicate with our central office, and access vital resources. Your contributions will make a significant impact on our ministry and, by extension, the lives of the people we serve.
